Dr. Kristin Wilson is a board-certified audiologist in the state of Ohio and a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology (FAAA). She carries the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A), which is awarded by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). Dr. Kristin Wilson earned her Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) degree and graduated magna cum laude in 2010 from Towson University. She received her Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree with high honors in speech language pathology and audiology from West Virginia University in 2006.
Dr. Wilson received her clinical training and experience in a variety of settings including the Towson University Speech and Hearing Clinic, York County, PA, School District; ENTAA Care; and at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD. She worked for nearly nine years as a clinical audiologist and preceptor to audiology doctoral students, and she managed two office locations at Chesapeake Hearing Centers, an AudigyCertified™ private practice in Ocean City, MD.
Dr. Wilson recently moved to Columbus to be closer to her parents, who live in Wheeling, WV, and her sister’s family, who also live in Columbus. Dr. Wilson provides a wide variety of hearing health care services including, but not limited to, diagnostic audiologic testing; hearing aid evaluation and consultation; hearing aid fitting and adjustment; fitting verification via live speechmapping and speech-in-noise testing; group and individual aural rehabilitation; and tinnitus evaluation, counseling, and management. She works primarily in the Urbana office.
Dr. Wilson enjoys being involved in the field of audiology and volunteering in the community at large. Dr. Wilson has offered her time by testing and treating individuals in need, giving them the gift of hearing through Starkey’s Hear Now program. Dr. Wilson chose the field of audiology and loves her career because she believes in the power of communication; she hopes to help as many people as possible in breaking down barriers to effective communication. She enjoys testing and treating patients — from the pediatric to geriatric population — with all types of hearing impairments.
Outside of the office, Dr. Wilson enjoys hiking, running, and going to dog parks with her puppy, Sansa. She enjoys attending her nephew’s events and activities, going to Zumba and other dance classes, and spending time with friends and family.
